Students transferring to Lake Catholic High School from other secondary schools are obligated to fulfill the Lake Catholic graduation requirements from the point of transfer through graduation.
All decisions concerning discrepancies between the different schools’ requirements will be made by the Lake Catholic administration.
Honors courses taken at a previous school will only be accepted if equivalent courses are offered at Lake Catholic. In general, years of participation in sports or clubs are not recognized and transfer students are not eligible for top academic awards at graduation.
The National Honors Society charter online states, “A NHS member who transfers to another school and brings a letter from the principal or chapter adviser to the new school adviser shall be accepted automatically as a member in the new school’s chapter. Transfer members must meet the new chapter’s standards within one semester in order to retain membership.”
